Quincy Attorneys Make Donation to Education
Hannibal, MO – Terrell and Vicki Dempsey have chosen to support the citizen group Affordable Community Education by making a generous donation of $15,500. Terrell and Vicki are co-owners of the law firm, Dempsey, Dempsey, and Moellring, also, Terrel is widely known for his book, “Searching for Jim: Slavery in Sam Clemens's World”. “You can not put a price on education. A quest for knowledge is forever rewarding,” says Dempsey.

Hannibal, MO –Local residents, Gary and Marcia Luck, donated $11,000 to the citizen group Affordable Community Education. “With so many giving, we are getting closer to providing this community an affordable alternative for higher education,” says Gary and Marcia.

Citizen Gives Generous Donation
Hannibal, MO – Arsene Burton of Hannibal has given a generous donation to the citizen group, Affordable Community Education. Burton presented them with a donation of $20,000 that will go towards building a permanent facility in Hannibal. “Every young person deserves a chance to pursue their own dreams. An affordable education is what helps those dreams become a reality,” says Burton.

This donation pushes Affordable Community Education even closer to making their campaign a reality. “We believe that it is critical that our community is able to provide a higher education at a low cost,” says Robert Gilstrap, Owner of Hannibal’s McDonald’s.
Former Business Owners Give Back to Their Community
Hannibal, MO – Gene and Kathy Scholes, former owners of Reliable Pest Control in Hannibal, have given a generous donation to Affordable Community Education. This money will go to help secure a permanent location in Hannibal for Moberly Area Community College. “We are simply doing what we can to give a little something back to the community and give others the chance to pursue a higher education,” says Mr. Scholes
Local Dentist Donates to Higher Education
Hannibal, MO – Dr. David Jackson and his wife Lillian have donated $ 25,550 to Affordable Community Education. Dr. Jackson, a partner in Hannibal Dental Group, says, “Growing up in Hannibal and coming back to practice and raise my family, I feel this community has given much to me. I have been on the Hannibal Board of Education for 17 years and Lillian and I feel education is important. We feel the Hannibal Education Center will give others the opportunity to achieve a higher education so they too can give back to the community.
